The Board of Directors for X*ACT in Xenia would like to extend an invitation
to all directors in the Miami Valley to present submissions
for plays for our 2026-2027 season.
Oldies but goodies are always welcome, but we also like new and innovative works. We would also like to meet you and find out why you want to present your play. Please have a copy of the play so that our theater committee can discuss it. If no copy is available then a synopsis would be most helpful. Be prepared to discuss stage requirements, costume needs, possible cost to put the play on.
X*ACT has a 65 seat theater that is ideal for productions with a small to medium sized cast and simple set design. Our theater has full technical capabilities (of light and sound). We encourage new directors to arrange a tour of the theater. To do so, please email us to schedule a tour. As a small theater, we also encourage submissions whose scripts are in the public domain, although this is not a requirement. For reference, our typical rehearsal schedule and auditions are held Mondays through Thursdays from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. We have additional rehearsal space other than the stage as well.
Completed Submissions must be sent to xeniaarea@gmail.com by Tuesday,
September 30th, 2025 at 8:00pm. Late submissions will not be considered for the
2026-27 season.
Submissions will be due no later than September 30, 2025. As soon as you submit your play we will contact you to confirm receipt and to set up a Zoom meeting.
