X*ACT’s Board of Directors is now accepting submissions of plays for the 2027-28 season!
Xenia Area Community Theater is looking for directors who are passionate about local theater to submit potential plays for the 2027-28 season! We invite all directors, both new and experienced, to submit a proposal!
As a small theater, we are looking to grow in community and artists! Shows that include a diverse cast, new and inventive stories, or opportunities for children are highly encouraged.
Whether you are a first time director, who is looking for experience, or a well-versed director, who would like to work with our theater, we encourage you to apply!
All prospective directors must complete a directors submission form. Supplemental information, like scripts, proposed cost estimates, and schedules, are helpful for us to understand your vision. Please send supplemental information to xeniaarea@gmail.com
Submissions close on Monday, August 31th, 2026 at 8:00pm
. Any submissions received after that time will not be considered for the 2027-28 season. Please note: X*ACT is not accepting musicals at this time. Shows with music, singing, or dancing are acceptible; however our small theater can not support large musical productions. We encourage applicants to propose plays and other related productions.
